inspired by anton tchekhov's the wood demon, Nathalie Béasse chooses to adapte with three performers the most optimistic of works of the Russian playwrite, blowing a subtle breeze of liberty.??

In a house, two men and one woman, they play. Are they actors? The unrest remains... they dance, they fall, they laugh, they cry, they tell us a story that intertwines with another. The story off Khrouchtchev, who little by little replants trees where the men are pulling them out. The wood demon, a play written by Anton Techekhov at happiest time of his life, references at the legendary Russia, like a childlike world full of reassurance and apprehension. Nous revivrons is liberal score of this theatrical text, where the essential is played between the lines, through the poetry of movement and silences.

The program "1er Acte" was iniciated by Stanislas Nordey in 2014 with TNS partners; Fondations Edmond de Rothschild and the Fondation SNCF, with the objective to promote diversity in theatres.
